2018 SRI Global Capital Awards: Carbone 4 Honored for Its Expertise in Green Bond Evaluation

Carbone 4 received the 2018 Most Impressive Environmental Impact Consultant Award from Global Capital. This award, granted based on a vote by investors, banks, and issuers of green and sustainable bonds, recognizes the work carried out by Carbone 4 through its consulting services (impact reports) and climate ratings (sector Carbon4 Finance).

Since its founding, Carbone 4 has developed dozens of innovative methods, tools, and databases that enable economic stakeholders to measure the climate benefits of their financing or investments, expressed in terms of emissions avoided and progress toward the Paris Agreement’s goals. Carbone 4’s consulting teams have worked with both institutional clients—such as Agence France Trésor on evaluating the allocation of funds from the Sovereign Green OAT—and industrial issuers, such as SNCF Réseau, for whom Carbone 4 developed an innovative methodology to calculate induced and avoided emissions for its renovation projects. Carbone 4 is pleased to note that some of its clients and partners were also recognized by Global Capital during the same ceremony. Carbon4 Finance’s climate rating teams provide international investors with independent assessments of the climate impact of Green Bonds available on the market, as well as solutions to calculate the alignment of their portfolios with the Paris Agreement. Investors and institutions using Carbon4 Finance’s data now have a total of €2.600 Mds in assets under management.
